The Edinburg location for Aguilar's Meat Market never disappoints me. Our whole family comes here to buy meat. They've recently expanded their parking lot and remodeled the store a bit. I wish it was a little bigger though, but what they do have to sell is always good. I love coming here to get barbecue meat. They have different price ranges for the fajita meat, but they are all so good that I can't tell the difference, so I always get the aracherra meat which is the cheapest per pound. To me it's just as good as the marinated sirloin. Their marinated chicken fajita is really good too. I only ask for the "red" one because I'm not a fan of lemon pepper flavor. I'm sure it's really good, but it's just not for me. They've got the Dino ribs too and they're great as well. Their meat selection is solid overall. Their self-branded tortillas are awesome. They're thin and flaky when you warm them up. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Sometimes it gets crazy busy and packed during the holidays and that can make navigating inside the store a challenge. The only downside is that the store is a bit small. That limits their selection for other things like drinks, alcoholic and nonalcoholic and other food options. Other than that, I love coming here.

I came here to say with some relatives when visiting from Houston. I was impressed with the selection here. The building is a little smaller than what I've seen elsewhere but it did not impact the vast selection of meat here. It must be a popular place because it was packed with people on a Saturday afternoon. The service was quick, efficient and polite. Later on that evening, I enjoyed some pork ribs, fajita, chicken and ratones ( jalapeño poppers, not rats) . Everything was delicious and high quality. If I'm in Edinburg again, I'll definitely stop by to grab some meat again.

If you need anything for grilling or just want to try some new type of meat, do yourself a favor and go to this incredibly awesome Meat Market. Literally everything you could want with a full with meat counter that takes up the entire length of the store. With that much meat you were might expect to find some off smells as you walk in, but nothing was unpleasant and everything seemed to be incredibly fresh. Really loved the fact that all of the meat and the case was protected with clear wrap so that you could see how beautiful it was yet it was not being affected by the cold and drying it out. Lots of different charcoal briquette options and seem to be very popular with the locals.

I love shopping here because it has the freshest meat. The meat is always tenderized and easy to cook and great for cookouts.
